World O! Water

Water professionals are invited to support the annnual World O! Water event on Saturday, September 6th, from noon to 4pm at the Wehrspann Lake Recreation Area.

The family-friendly event focuses on the importance of water, water conservation, wise use, pollution prevention, and similar topics. Participants provide outreach and education through children's activities, demonstrations, and/or information. The organizers ask that participants ensure that a water theme is included in the focus of their booth.

The rain-or-shine event is in its tenth year. In years with good weather, attendance is usually between 1500 and 3000 people. World O! Water is coordinated by the Papio-Missouri River NRD, the City of Omaha, Keep Omaha Beautiful, and the Papillion Creek Watershed Partnership.

There are no fees to participate in the event. Park rules prohibit anything being sold in the park, but you are welcome to collect contact information from interested parties to contact them after the event.

There are three main activity areas for the event, including near the lake (if needed) as well as the Resource Center where we can provide power and water sources if needed.
