Volunteers needed
Moderators
We are looking for volunteers to serve as session moderators. Moderators introduce speakers, check-in attendees for credit, and help keep presentations moving smoothly.

Exhibitors and Sponsors
The Fall Conference joins the efforts of the Nebraska Section AWWA along with the Nebraska Water Environment Association, the Nebraska Chapter of the American Public Works Association, and the Cornhusker Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America.
The conference will be held at the Younes Conference Center North, where we have moved in order to accommodate more attendees and exhibitors while remaining in the familiar centralized location of Kearney.
Top Ops
The Top Ops contest will again challenge participants with a wide range of questions about water treatment and distribution. The winners will go on to represent the Nebraska Section at the 2027 AWWA ACE.
Cash prizes are also on the line:
- First place: $60 per participant
- Second place: $40 per participant
- Third place: $20 per participant

Visiting dignitary
Our visiting dignitary will be AWWA Vice President Mike Worlton.
Biography
Mike Worlton's 30-year career has predominantly focused on planning, design, construction, and operation of public water infrastructure. As a Vice President for Black & Veatch, he provides oversight of hiring and business operations for B&V's West Water Solutions team. Mike is also a Vice President for AWWA and previously served as chair of the AWWA Arizona Section board, president of the Arizona Section of ASCE, a planning and zoning commissioner, and as an adjunct professor at ASU.
Mike is a Professional Engineer and a grade 4 Water Distribution and Water Treatment Operator. His most important work is accomplished in his home, where he and his wife of 34 years have raised nine children.
