National AWWA Vice-President Charles F. Anderson to speak at Nebraska Section AWWA Fall Conference

National AWWA Vice-President Charles F. Anderson of Arlington, TX, will be the guest speaker at the Nebraska Section AWWA Fall Conference in Kearney, November 4-5.

In his 36 years of employment in the public sector, Anderson has been involved in several aspects of the water business. In 2005 he retired from the City of Arlington after serving as assistant director and director of Utilities for about 28 years, and as deputy city manager from 2003 to 2005.

Anderson currently works for Camp Dresser & McKee as a management consultant.

He joined AWWA in 1972 and currently serves as director and vice-president of the Texas Section AWWA.

He has served as section chair, chair-elect, past-chair, management division chair and trustee. He has been a member of the Coagulation-Filtration, Management Development and Landmark Award committees.

National AWWA President Mike Leonard appointed Anderson to chair the ad hoc Committee on Affiliation Agreements.

Anderson is a life member of AWWA and recipient of the George Warren Fuller Award. He also is a member of the Water Environment Federation, Water Environment Association of Texas and the American Chemical Society.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in Chemistry from Texas Wesleyan University.
